This picture is so old it's in black & white. We were aboard the S.S. Jeremiah O'Brian in San Francisco, the last remaining of the Liberty ships of WWII.
THE JEWELTONES
The JewelTones is a versatile group of 10 Bay Area women who perform songs from the turn of the century through the 1950s with an emphasis on the great old songs of the 40s --- Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, Java Jive, Shoo Shoo Baby, & Accentuate the Positive. They perform in authentic costumes from the era. Even Rosie the Riveter shows up.
They always tailor their entertainment to fit your event. Whether the occasion is a 60th birthday, a 50th anniversary, or a class reunion, they'll gather up your stories & weave them into the show.
If your event harkens back to the 50s, expect to see those sparkling Jewels in over-the-top prom dresses, rhinestones, pearls, and yes, even tiaras. They’ll take you to the prom with Sincerely, Lollipop, Mister Sandman, Blue Moon, & some good old 50s Doo Wop.
Then there's their LOVE program, complete with red vampy gowns, & great songs from every decade---Carolina Moon, Makin' Love Ukulele Style, Angry, Aba Daba Honeymoon, and A Good Man is Hard to Find.
The JewelTones have been together since 2001, but they have been performing in other groups & as soloists for years. . . Don't ask how many.
